Professor Raymond Gordon

Professor Raymond Gordon is Vice-Chancellor, President and General Director of British University Vietnam (BUV), a position he has held since 2018. An experienced higher education leader and accomplished academic, he has extensive teaching, research and executive leadership experience across Asia, Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. Prior to joining academia full-time, he spent 25 years in the computer engineering and information technology sectors across various management portfolios. This combination of industry and academic experience has shaped his approach to institutional leadership, ensuring strong connections between academic excellence, industry relevance and graduate outcomes.

Under his leadership, BUV became the first university in Vietnam to achieve an overall 5-Star QS rating. He also serves as Chair of the SenTia School Board, supporting the strategic development of Taylor’s Education Group’s newest school in Vietnam.
