Karl Engkvist is President of Taylor’s Education Pte Ltd, the investment arm of Taylor’s Education Group (TEG), which owns and operates schools and universities across Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. With more than 30 years of international experience across education, technology and strategic growth, Karl has spent much of the past 25 years in Asia, focusing on leveraging innovative content, digital platforms and cross-border partnerships to strengthen learning outcomes and expand access to quality education.

His expertise spans strategy, operations, education technology, transnational education, M&A integration and new market development across Asia. He also co-chairs the Group’s ESG Committee, supporting TEG’s long-term sustainability ambitions and commitment to responsible growth. Prior to joining TEG, Karl held executive leadership roles with Pearson Education, Blackboard Inc, Cerbibo and The Princeton Review, and graduated from Dartmouth College.
