Subang Jaya, 2 July 2026 – Having shaped the educational journeys of generations of students, the Taylor’s College SS15 campus is entering a new phase in its longstanding contribution to education. Taylor’s Education Group today commemorated the groundbreaking of Haus on 15, marking the transformation of the historic campus site into a purpose-built student accommodation development designed to support the evolving needs of future student communities.

Situated within Subang Jaya’s prime education hub, the redevelopment reflects the changing nature of higher education and the growing importance of integrated student communities that support wellbeing, connection, and the overall student experience beyond the classroom. 

The development is being undertaken by Taylor’s Assets, the property investment and assets management arm of Taylor’s Education Group, in partnership with Gamuda Land. As part of its long-term strategy to create future-ready education and lifestyle environments, Taylor’s Assets has incorporated a dedicated Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) component within Haus on 15, which will be professionally managed by Taylor’s Hostel Management (THM), Malaysia’s leading and only internationally award-winning PBSA operator.

Under THM, Taylor’s Residence was recently recognised with three prestigious accolades at the Asia-Pacific Student Accommodation Association (APSAA) Awards 2026, reflecting its continued commitment to delivering safe, holistic and meaningful student living experiences.

The collaboration brings together Gamuda Land’s expertise in creating integrated urban communities and Taylor’s experience in understanding the evolving needs of students, with the shared goal of creating a supportive and future-ready living environment for student communities. 

The groundbreaking ceremony was especially meaningful as it brought together business partners and stakeholders who have long been part of the campus’ history and legacy. Their presence reflected a shared celebration of the site’s enduring contribution to education and its continued role in supporting future generations of students.

Taylor’s College first established its Subang Jaya campus in 1990, marking an important milestone in the institution’s growth journey and becoming a recognised landmark within Malaysia’s higher education landscape. Over the decades, the campus has welcomed generations of students from Malaysia and around the world. Many have gone on to become leaders and changemakers, contributing meaningfully across business, public service, entrepreneurship and social impact.

Among its notable alumni are YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) and Member of Parliament for Segambut, Patrick Sim, Group Chief Executive Officer of Secret Recipe Cakes and Café Sdn Bhd, and Ramachandran Muniandy, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Asia Mobiliti Technologies Sdn Bhd.
